Senior MRI Radiographer – 12-month maternity cover at The Christie Hospital, Manchester.
As a senior MRI Radiographer, you will support the delivery of our MR service, working alongside the MRI Lead & deputies, supporting a team of radiographers, ensuring high-quality care across 4 scanners and contributing to the development of tailored treatment plans for patients.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the MR leadership team in the day‑to‑day running of the department, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and compassion.
* Provide guidance to a team of radiographers and radiographic aides, promoting their professional growth and development.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment planning.
* Drive the implementation of new technologies and techniques, staying at the forefront of advancements in MR radiography.
* Participate in departmental audits, research projects and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
* Degree in Diagnostic Radiography with registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* PgCert in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (desirable).
* Strong background in MR imaging with a minimum of 2 years experience.
* Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
* Excellent communication skills, fostering effective collaboration across departments.
* Strong problem‑solving skills, capable of making critical decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with industry advancements.
