Following new investment, we are excited to offer a Senior Social Worker position within the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Community Service for North Yorkshire and York. This role will serve the York and Scarborough areas.
The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary community perinatal team, providing social work expertise to women experiencing mental health difficulties during pregnancy and up to one year postnatal.
The role involves developing the social worker function within the team. As an autonomous social worker, you will manage a defined caseload, including service users with child and adult safeguarding needs.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to a proactive, forward-thinking team. You will work alongside colleagues from various disciplines, with opportunities to develop your clinical and social work skills, receive supervision, and network within the trust.
We are a specialized service committed to delivering high standards of care to expectant and new mothers with complex mental health issues. We seek motivated practitioners interested in perinatal mental health; further training and supervision will be provided.
The post involves key working with patients with perinatal needs, especially those with complex social care and safeguarding concerns.
Applicants must be able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle. Adjustments can be made under the Equality Act 2010 if necessary.
Candidates should be motivated, proactive, and possess sound assessment and IT skills. Sponsorship for a Health and Care Worker or Skilled Worker visa may be available, subject to eligibility. Please review the visa guidance on the GOV.UK website.
