Teaching Assistant – Long-Term (Temp-to-Perm) | Bourne | Start Date: 26th January
We are working in partnership with a specialist school in Bourne to recruit a Teaching Assistant on a long-term, temp-to-perm basis, starting 26th January.
This role involves supporting pupils with additional needs within a nurturing, structured, and supportive environment. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and regulate behaviour.
The successful candidate will:
Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Assist with classroom activities and adapted learning tasks
Help manage behaviour using positive and consistent approaches
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
Experience working with children or young people is desirable, particularly within SEND or SEMH settings, but a positive attitude, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people are essential.
