Join to apply for the Night Registered Nurse role at Care Concern Group at Havencourt Care Home, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire. We provide Residential, Nursing, and Dementia care for up to 42 residents.
Contract: Full Time • Salary: £19.76 Per Hour • Shift type: Nights • Contracted hours: 34.5 hours
Responsibilities
* Craft Personalized Care Plans: Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to design and implement care plans tailored to each individual.
* Ensure Accuracy: Maintain precise, legal, and clear care documentation.
* Lead with Confidence: Organise and guide the team at the start of each shift.
* Facilitate Transitions: Manage shift handovers for clear communication and continuity of care.
* Monitor Health: Perform routine observations and manage specific health needs with attention to detail and safety.
* Administer Medications: Safely manage and administer medications following MAR sheets and protocols.
* Build Relationships: Develop trusting relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals with empathy and urgency.
* Promote Independence: Support residents in daily activities while providing appropriate assistance.
* Act on Feedback: Be responsive to team input to prioritise resident health and well-being.
* Champion Respect: Uphold dignity and individuality of residents, advocating for their needs and preferences.
* Encourage Engagement: Facilitate social activities and interactions to enrich residents’ lives.
* Prioritise Safety: Maintain vigilance on health and safety to ensure a secure environment.
* Support Nutrition: Monitor nutrition and hydration, addressing risks of weight changes or dehydration.
* Respond to Emergencies: Act swiftly in emergencies and utilise on-call systems to continually improve care.
About You
* You’re a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC Nursing PIN.
* Care home experience is a plus, but your passion for care and dedication to residents’ lives matter most.
* You connect well with residents, families, and colleagues, bringing warmth, understanding, and a calm, patient demeanour.
* Communication is your strength; you convey needs, updates, and guidance with clarity, empathy, and respect.
