GBP40,000 – GBP55,000 + paid overtime, pension & 25 days holiday
38 hour week early Friday finish.

Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:
1. Use electrical design CAD software to produce accurate, functional, and cost-effective electrical system designs.
2. Discuss and analyze technical documents to determine customer requirements.
3. Produce documentation such as functional design specifications and system manuals.
4. Create accurate 2D layout drawings for electrical panels and system IO layout.
5. Liaise with suppliers to select appropriate components.
6. Accurately produce bills of materials (BOMs).
7. Support the commissioning team to ensure successful FAT and SAT.
8. Carry out design calculations manually or using software to verify system suitability and performance.
9. Collaborate with wider design teams and departments to improve functions and processes, and participate in design reviews.
Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:
1. Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or relevant industry experience.
2. Extensive experience with electrical design software such as Eplan and AutoCAD Electrical.
3. Experience with hand calculations for drive systems, electrical loadings, and current ratings.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good time management and prioritization abilities.
5. Flexibility for occasional travel within the UK and abroad.
6. Prior experience in bespoke or special-purpose machine building and design.
7. Experience with robotics, automation, vision, and sensing systems is advantageous.
8. Ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
9. Understanding of UKCA/CE technical file creation and risk assessments is highly beneficial.
