Poppy Fire have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career as a customer service assistant This apprenticeship involves studying towards a Level 3 Business Admin qualification, and is perfect for someone new to the field
A Customer Service Assistant at Poppy Fire Ltd can be expexcted to be responsible for handling customer inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms, ensuring that all requests for services—such as fire alarm maintenance, emergency call-outs, or equipment installations—are logged and addressed promptly.
The succesful applicant will help coordinate with engineers to schedule site visits, update customers on appointment times, and follow up after services to ensure satisfaction.
The role also involves managing service records, assisting with contract renewals, addressing billing queries, and ensuring all communication reflects the company's high standards for safety and professionalism.
Entry requirements
Desired skills + qualities:
* Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS background check
* Live in, or very nearby, Bury
* Previous experience would be a bonus, but not essential for the right candidate
* Must have a driving license, or at least live within an easy commute of the office
* IT skills would be a bonus
* Good written and spoken communication skills are essential due to the nature of the role
* Must be trustworthy, reliable and adaptable
Training to be provided
Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training, remotely, twice a month.
You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your apprenticeship.
You will be required to complete assessments and portfolio work during your tutor led meetings and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.
The employer will mentor and coach you on the job. You will also shadow, learn and get involved in all aspects of your administrative role with our office manager.
You will attend dedicated tutor led meetings hosted via MS Teams and gather any on the job evidence needed to supplement your studies.
