Senior Quality Engineer
If you’ve spent the last few years in Quality Engineering, you’ll know the likely pattern.
The one where issues surface late, CAPA's pile up, supplier problems are left to escalate and then QA gets pulled in to fix what could have been prevented way earlier.
This role is not that!
Instead, it’s for someone who wants to step forward and shape how quality is engineered into products and processes, not just inspected at the end. It's about getting things right first time and engineering into the process that things run smoothly time and time again.
You’ll sit at the centre of product quality, compliance, and engineering decision making.
What you’d actually be doing:
This is a broad, hands on Senior Quality Engineering role with real ownership.
* Driving investigations into quality issue, getting to root cause.
* Leading and supporting CAPA activity end to end, ensuring actions actually hold.
* Owning non conformance processes.
* Building and improving quality engineering practices.
* Developing inspection approaches, sampling strategies and quality standards.
* Leading internal and external audits, including supplier facing work.
* Partnering with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain to improve product and process performance.
* Leading projects that improve quality, reduce cost, and increase efficiency.
There’s also a people element here, guiding and developing others in the team.
What they’re looking for
Someone who’s technically strong, but also commercially aware.
Someone who understands that quality is not just compliance, it’s performance.
You’ll likely bring:
* Strong Quality Engineering experience within medical devices or similarly regulated industries.
* A solid grounding in ISO 13485 and/or FDA QSR (21 CFR 820).
* Experience working across CAPA, non conformance, audits and supplier quality.
* Confidence interpreting technical drawings, tolerances and engineering data.
* A structured, data led approach to problem solving.
* The ability to influence engineers and drive better outcomes.
There’s scope here to:
* Strengthen how quality engineering is done
* Influence supplier and manufacturing performance
* Raise standards across products and processes
* And have a visible impact on how the business delivers quality
If you’re looking for a role where you’re trusted to lead, not just follow procedure, this is that kind of opportunity.
