Join us as a Chair of Governors and transform lives and shape futures!
We are looking for someone to lead our Academy Governing Board as the Chair of Governors. Ideally, you should have one or more of the following:
* Experience as a Governor
* Works in education
* Experience with strategic leadership
This role offers an opportunity to support children in the local community and develop your own leadership skills. A handover and mentoring/support will be available when you take on the role.
As a governor you will:
* Make a Real Difference: Use your unique perspective to inform crucial conversations about education and student well‑being.
* Board‑Level Skills Development: Hone your leadership, decision‑making, and strategic thinking skills in a board‑level environment.
* Community Contribution: Give back to the local community by actively participating in the school’s development, impacting pupils, staff, and families.
* Support and Challenge: Be the voice that drives positive change, supporting the school’s growth while constructively challenging it.
* Diverse Perspectives: Bring your unique experiences to decision‑making, ensuring a well‑rounded approach that benefits everyone.
Governing Boards are skills‑based and cover a wide variety of areas.
While experience in education is not a necessity, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your knowledge base. The most important attribute we look for is a Governor who is dedicated, has the time to fulfil the role, is open to learning new things, and believes in our vision to transform the life chances of the young people who attend our schools.
