Our client is currently seeking an experienced Building Surveyor for Farnham. You will mainly deal with reinstatement cost assessments. The role will be office based 3 days per week.The Role
* Team Management and development responsibilities.
* Conduct thorough on-site inspections of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
* Evaluate building layout, structures, materials, construction methods, and overall condition.
* Identify factors that may affect reinstatement costs, including age, specification, and any non-standard features.
* Calculate accurate reinstatement costs in accordance with RICS guidance, BCIS indices, and relevant industry standards.
* Apply appropriate cost indices and regional adjustments to ensure up-to-date and compliant valuations.
* Monitor cost fluctuations and construction market trends to maintain assessment accuracy.
* Produce clear, detailed, and professionally presented RCA reports within agreed SLA timeframes.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, planning requirements, and relevant industry standards.
* Participate in relevant continuing professional development (CPD) and training as required by the business.
Skills / Qualifications
* Relevant technical / Loss Adjusting experience is desired.
* Degree in Building Surveying (BSC Hons).
* You will be MRICS qualified.
* Conversant with CAD, CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall Act 1996, Building Regulation and Planning Legislation.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Excellent customer service, organizational & communication skills.
