What will you be doing as an Interim Head of Finance? Oversee the financial management within the organisation, including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, cash flow management and auditing. Duties will include: Managing, training and developing a Finance Team of 4 staff Liaising across all departments supporting them to manage budgets and financial planning Budget planning and on-going monitoring and control of agreed budgets Producing monthly management accounts. Providing cost centre analysis and financial analysis of the organisation to the executive team and department managers Leading on budget-setting and monitoring, consulting with managers on resource requirements Leading on financial forecasting based on organisational reserves, income and expenditure Reviewing company expenditure, including contracts to ensure maximum value for money and improve efficiencies Leading on the end of year accounting (up to and including Trial Balance stage) and annual audit process Managing banking processes and cashflow forecasting Ensuring effective balance sheet control through monthly reconciliations Managing the payroll function, including pensions management Lead on the development and review of financial policies and procedures. Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience: Previous experience in a similar senior finance role such as Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Finance Manager of possible CFO / Chief Financial Officer Strong skills dealing with cash flow and cash forecasting Qualified CIPFA, CIMA, ACA or ACCA Comfortable using Sage (Preferably Sage 200) Have up to date technical knowledge of financial reporting with the ability to present financial information in a variety of formats Able to commit to a 3 month contract Experience in the not for profit or other third sector organisation would be beneficial What will you get in return for your work as Interim Head of Finance?
