About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Asset Operations Technical Service & Delivery (TS&D) team. As the Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for providing Electrical Operation and Maintenance Engineering.
Location
To be on site at Eyemouth with some travel required within the UK, Ireland, and overseas as needed.
What you will be doing day to day
* Leading by example maintaining the highest level of standards to comply with HSEQ requirements.
* Providing in‑field electrical engineering expertise and support at a site level across the full portfolio of offshore assets.
* Supporting Asset Operation teams with electrical/electromechanical planned preventative maintenance works as well as emergent/fault conditions on the EBoP and associated generation plant/apparatus.
* Reviewing/creating work scopes, work instructions and quality plans.
* Having a questioning attitude, challenging current thinking and processes to seek alternative methods of working.
* Driving continuous improvement, reviewing/set standards and developing cases for consideration to contribute towards asset improvement, performance gains, and efficiency.
* Identifying robust and innovative solutions and ensuring advances in technology are utilised, upgrading existing assets and future‑proofing others.
* Managing technical queries raised by team members, contractors and suppliers.
* Managing the Asset Change Management process to ensure modifications, retrofits and repairs are documented accordingly.
* Reviewing, updating, amending and approving site documentation against existing single line diagrams, electrical drawings and Test Data.
* Identifying and categorising risks and adding them to the appropriate risk register with correct RAG status.
* Setting output requirements for external technical specialists in their reporting on issues, including Root Cause Analysis, and ensuring asset integrity is at the forefront of thinking.
* Identifying target areas relating to operational asset performance in which the site(s) and wider business can improve.
* Ensuring compliance with the EDF Power Solutions asset management policy, contributing towards its development and review where required.
* Training to become a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) under the EDF Power Solutions E&M Safety Rules.

* Responsible and accountable in supporting the Asset Operations and wider team.
* Experience installing/operating/maintaining/testing on HV switchgear, transformers, cables (XLPE), joints and terminations of all kinds.
* Minimum of HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent.
* NEBOSH or IOSH (or equivalent).
* Experienced engineer with past or present experience in the power generation sector including renewable technologies; offshore experience desirable.
* Physically fit to climb, comfortable working at height and offshore as required.
* Excellent at building relationships with external partners, stakeholders and the internal reporting line.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
