Site Setting Out Engineers / Quality Engineers – Major Commercial Project, Bristol Immediate Starts | 12+ Month Contracts | High-Volume Commercial Build
We are urgently recruiting 3 Site Setting Out Engineers with strong quality control experience for one of the busiest and most high-profile commercial construction projects currently underway in the Bristol area.
You will initially contract through us, with a clear pathway to transition onto a direct contract with the subcontractor once established on site.
Package & Terms
Day rate: • Engineers without own kit: £350 – £360 per day • Engineers with full kit (total station / GPS / level etc.): £390 – £400 per day
Payment options: Limited company (umbrella or PSC) or CIS – your preference
Duration: Minimum 12 months – long-term, stable work
Working hours: Monday–Friday, 07:30 – 17:00 Weekend overtime available on a voluntary rota basis (extra earning potential)
Start date: Immediate starts available – we can mobilise the right people this week / next week
Your day-to-day role You will be responsible for setting out and quality control full-time. Expect a fast-moving, high-output site environment where accuracy, attention to detail and proactive quality checking are essential.
We are looking for
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on commercial / large-scale projects
Strong understanding of setting out techniques (total station, GPS, levelling)
Solid quality control background – checking works against drawings & specifications
Ability to work independently and as part of a busy site team
Valid CSCS card (minimum Skilled Worker / Gold or equivalent)
Own kit preferred but not essential
