Part Time HR Assistant

An established manufacturing business is looking for a part-time HR Assistant to provide essential support across a range of HR functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys working with people and processes.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
* Keep the HR database current by logging changes such as new joiners, departures, and contract updates.
* Respond to general HR-related enquiries from staff, offering clear and timely guidance.
* Assist with the preparation of HR correspondence, including employment confirmations and reference letters.
* Support the administration of performance reviews and probationary evaluations.
* Help manage the recruitment cycle by liaising with agencies, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
* Organise health assessments for employees and follow up on any required actions.
* Conduct background checks and ensure all pre-employment screening is completed.
* Facilitate exit processes, including interviews and documentation, and compile feedback for analysis.
* Provide administrative support on employee relations matters under the guidance of the HR Manager.
Candidate Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in HR administration or a related role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
* Holds a CIPD Level 3 qualification or has equivalent practical knowledge.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with a professional and approachable manner.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling sensitive data.
* Familiarity with HR software systems and confident using Microsoft Office tools.
* Able to work discreetly with confidential information and maintain professional integrity.
