Argos Shift Manager Role
Argos Shift Managers are responsible for managing shifts within our Argos stores, inspiring and motivating teams, and providing on-the-job support. They coach colleagues to ensure excellent customer service while working alongside the team. They may lead the full store operation in the absence of the Store Manager, overseeing tasks such as organizing the warehouse, managing deliveries, and serving customers. They are knowledgeable about our products and services, focusing on driving sales and profitability.
Working Hours & Flexibility
This role requires flexibility in working hours, which range from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM, Monday to Saturday, and 9:15 AM to 5:15 PM on Sundays.
Location & Travel Requirements
The position is based in Penzance. The successful candidate will also need to provide cover for days off, holidays, and sickness in Falmouth (24 miles away) and Helston (13 miles away).
Scheduling & Transport
Rotas are planned three weeks in advance. To travel between locations, candidates must have a valid driving licence and access to their own transport.

* Experience in organizing, running, and planning for a fast-paced operation.
* Comfortable directing a team, providing coaching, and on-the-spot guidance to ensure excellent customer and colleague experiences.

* Strong commercial awareness, including product knowledge, to understand customer needs and drive sales.
* Ability to meet KPIs and enhance store profitability.
