Job Description
We are looking for a caring and dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Kirkby.
This role involves supporting pupils with complex needs, including those with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), providing one-to-one or small group assistance, and helping to deliver personalised learning activities. Full training and support will be provided, making this a great opportunity for those looking to gain or develop experience in a specialist setting.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with backgrounds in care, nursing, social work, coaching, or early years settings.
The Role:
1. Support pupils with complex needs in their learning and daily routines
2. Work 1:1 or in small groups, assisting with personalised targets
3. Help teachers deliver tailored activities and lessons
4. Promote independence, communication, and wellbeing in a safe, inclusive environment
Requirements:
5. A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
6. Strong communication skills
7. Willingness to undertake training
8. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
