We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Social Worker to join our agency team on a flexible assignment basis. This role involves supporting individuals, families, and communities by assessing needs, safeguarding wellbeing, and coordinating appropriate interventions and support services.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out assessments of individuals and families to identify needs and risks.
* Develop, implement, and review care and support plans.
* Safeguard vulnerable adults and children in line with current procedures and legislation.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records.
* Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, local authorities, and partner agencies.
* Attend meetings, reviews, and case conferences as required.
* Promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for service users.
* Manage caseloads effectively while prioritising urgent and complex cases.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with professional standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration.
* Previous experience within social work settings.
* Strong communication, assessment, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
* Flexible and adaptable approach to work environments and caseloads.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience working within community, hospital, children's, or adult services.
* Knowledge of case management systems and report writing.
* Ability to build effective working relationships with service users and professionals.
