How You’ll Perform The Role
Waddington Europe has a vacancy for Production Support to work at Bridgwater. It doesn’t matter if you’ve no previous experience because we offer a full training programme. All we ask for is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
* Responsible for servicing the production team efficiently, ensuring they have all the necessaries to complete their tasks.
* Work pattern: rotating 3 week shift (Sunday to Thursday 22:00–06:00 week 1; Mon–Fri 06:00–14:00 week 2; Mon–Fri 14:00–22:00 week 3).
* Ensure relevant information is passed on to the next shift.
* Ensure correct labels are printed for all machines used in production halls.
* Record correct data on relevant paperwork, production and quality sheets.
* Follow SOPs regarding shrink wrapping machines.
* Keep work areas clean, free of obstructions and hazards.
* Issue correct pallets, cartons and boxes; store and handle damaged items appropriately.
* Complete daily checklists as required and follow up on issues.
* Assist production as needed, covering breaks and training.
* Comply with all policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment; follow environmental and quality management procedures.
* Segregate materials to reduce waste and avoid cross-contamination; dispose waste cost-effectively.
* Carry out reasonable duties within your abilities, irrespective of grade/skill level.
* Ensure waste is weighed as requested and PPT Inspection Pads are filled correctly.
* Operate granulating machines where required and communicate with warehouse to ensure stock availability for production.
What You Need From You
* Experience not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
* Ability to pass information to the next shift and follow safety and quality procedures.
* Capability to work on rotating shift patterns and perform manual tasks as needed.
* Commitment to working safely and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
