Position: Senior Recruitment Consultant / Principal Recruitment Consultant

Location: Manchester, England (Hybrid, Tue/Wed/Thur Office)

Working Hours: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM UK time (Half-day Fridays)

As part of a global group with 800+ consultants across 20 offices, our Manchester team is scaling rapidly and represents the strategic hub for U.S. delivery and business development.


The Opportunity

We’re looking for proven 360 recruiters who can both win and deliver — commercially sharp professionals who want to elevate from contingent recruitment into the retained, senior-search space.


You’ll own a defined vertical within heavy industry (O&G, engineering, construction, manufacturing, renewables), operating a candidate-led business development model. You’ll build relationships with decision-makers across the U.S. and Canada, working end-to-end on retained mandates with high fee values and guaranteed revenue.

Key Responsibilities

* Full 360 ownership of a defined industrial vertical (North America–focused).
* Execute retained search projects end-to-end: research, outreach, qualification, shortlisting, and offer management.
* Develop new client relationships through candidate-led intelligence and proactive business development.
* Achieve consistent billing performance aligned with company standards and personal targets.
* Represent CGP Search’s retained model with professionalism, pace, and delivery excellence.


What We’re Looking For

* 3–5 years’ experience as a 360 recruiter — contingent acceptable, retained experience a plus.
* Proven billing record (£150K+ per annum) and ability to win and execute work.
* Experience in heavy industry, energy, construction, or manufacturing sectors preferred.
* Competitive, confident, and articulate communicator with strong commercial instincts.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a desk from scratch
