This leading Manufacturing are now looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team and report into the Quality Manager
Â
As Quality Engineer you will champion both the product and process quality at an operational level. Supporting in the achievement of company objectives and targets
Â
Key responsibilities as Quality Engineer:
Â
* Provide Quality support within the manufacturing facility to achieve the Quality objectives and reduce the cost of poor Quality.
* Facilitate root cause analysis and reporting activities.
* Facilitate the successful completion of the internal auditing program.
* Ensure that ISO9001 requirements are understood and adhered.
* Assist in promoting a Quality awareness culture throughout the business.
* Facilitate the successful completion of the internal auditing program.
* Supporting the Quality Inspection team in the analysis of quality inspection data and review the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions.
* Drive supplier Quality improvement activities
* To take a hands-on approach toward technical resolution in all applicable instances of non-conformance

Experience as Quality Engineer:
Â
Personal Specification:
* Degree/ HNC/ NVQ or higher in a Quality/ Engineering or technical subject or relevant industry experience
* Knowledge of/ competent use of investigative techniques: internal auditing, 8D, DMAIC, the 5 Why’s and other Lean measurement tools
* Knowledge of/ competent use in APQP project processes, DFMEA, PFMEA, Quality Control plan and process flow mapping
* Knowledge of competency in Supplier related Quality practices and Processes: PPAP, ISIR and supplier related Practices and Processes PPAP, ISIR and Supplier Quality Assessments
* 6 months plus experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
* Experience working independently to see Quality concerns through to resolution in full
* Capability to be an advocate for Quality and process improvement.
* A strong effective communicator who can liaise professionally with all levels of staff and management, both internally and externally
* Full driving License
