Job Description

We are recruiting An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the Resident Liaison and Engagement Team for a permanent position. If you want to make a difference by engaging with our Council Housing residents, don't mind working some regular evenings and some weekends, then this role is for you. Evening and weekend work is compensated with time off in lieu (TOIL).

We are looking for a Resident Liaison and Engagement Officer, who will play a central part in our ambition to shape a progressive service offer for our tenants & leaseholders and for our wide range of development and regeneration programmes.

As a Resident Liaison and Engagement Officer, you will lead on developing and delivering a comprehensive engagement programme aimed at Council tenants and leaseholders across Enfield. You will also be responsible for organising both large and small events across various sites in Enfield as well as online events and to play an active role in ensuring that the requirements of the Resident Involvement Strategy, the 2020 Housing White Paper and recent changes implemented by the Housing Regulator.

You will be working with Council services, community groups, and other public and private stakeholders, to ensure events are exciting, engaging, and informative; helping to meet the Council's key strategic aims for the Housing Service and beyond.

You will be working closely with the Council's key residents' groups and scrutiny panels, facilitating panel meetings, and supporting the groups to scrutinise and improve council services for all residents and stakeholders in the borough.

You will support the development and implementation of the Resident Engagement Strategy across Housing, driving increased participation of tenants and leaseholders across all consultations, events and online through social media.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable track record in delivering outcomes and improvements through delivery of meaningful engagement activities. You will champion the voice of our residents and bring innovative approaches to increasing the participation of under- represented groups. We welcome diversity and multi-lingual speakers who would strengthen our service offer to our local communities.

You will be an outstanding communicator, both verbally and in writing, with high levels of computer literacy. A self-starter with a passion for empowering people and communities, your infectious energy will help ensure the voice of our residents is at the heart of everything we do.

For this role you will be required to have the ability to travel and be prepared to work regular evenings and some weekends as and where the service demands.
