Field Service Engineer – Hospital Ventilation Systems
Location: Field-based, UK-wide (No fixed location)
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £30,000 – £50,000 per annum + Overtime + Overnight Rates
About The Role
My client, a leading provider of ventilation systems for hospitals, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining ventilation systems within operating theatres across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a critical environment, ensuring the safety and efficiency of hospital ventilation systems.
You will be field-based, with no fixed location. You will work on a 5-in-7 rota, with no more than 5 continuous days of work. Alternate weekends will be expected, but you will have the flexibility to manage your schedule. My client provides a company vehicle, fuel, and expenses, including hotels, ensuring that you have everything you need to perform your role effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Servicing and maintaining ventilation systems within operating theatres. Conduct routine inspections, identify potential issues, and perform necessary repairs to ensure that the ventilation systems are operating at peak efficiency. Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities. Provide technical support and advice to hospital staff.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, or HVAC systems. Strong understanding of ventilation systems. Comfortable working in a hospital environment. Self-starter, capable of working independently and managing your own schedule. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet. Strong communication skills.
