Essential Responsibilities:
1. Drive revenue growth and global market expansion by identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, channels, and opportunities
2. Lead the negotiation with external partners and engage cross-functional support colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of solutions for large complex partnerships.
3. Develop and execute an overall business strategy to identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, channels, and opportunities to drive revenue growth and global market expansion.

5. Align product and business levers (such as pricing and FX) to maximize revenue and market expansion opportunities.
6. Engage closely with product, engineering, and architecture teams to drive the architectural runway and determine the best technical implementation/design.
7. Represent the end customer on an ongoing basis and use this knowledge to drive effective prioritization and decision-making.
8. Collaborate and influence product outcomes in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders such as Engineering, Operations, Risk, Legal, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Finance, and Banking Partners.

Your day-to-day
10. Develop and execute an integrated acquisition and merchant growth strategy to achieve volume, profitability, and partnership targets.
11. Lead multi-channel sales activities, including digital, direct, partnerships, and merchant-driven channels.
12. Identify and secure strategic merchant partnerships to increase acceptance and promote credit usage.
13. Design and deliver joint campaigns with merchants to drive transaction volume and customer engagement.
14. Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of acquisition and merchant growth campaigns, including performance tracking and post-campaign analysis.
15. Monitor performance metrics (e.g., new customer acquisitions, merchant transaction volumes, activation rates) and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
16. Collaborate with product, marketing, risk, operations, and legal teams to ensure initiatives align with overall business goals and regulatory requirements.
17. Optimise customer and merchant journeys to improve conversion rates and satisfaction.
18. Manage acquisition and merchant growth budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximising return on investment.
19. Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations and internal policies, particularly regarding responsible lending and Consumer Duty.
What you need to bring
20. Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in sales, acquisition, and partnerships within credit cards or broader consumer finance.
21. Proven track record of delivering acquisition and merchant growth targets.
22. Strong understanding of the UK credit card market, including merchant dynamics and acceptance strategies.
23. Expertise in developing and managing strategic partnerships and co-marketing campaigns.
24. Deep knowledge of digital and traditional acquisition channels.
25. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to leverage data to drive decisions.
26. Strong leadership and team development skills.
27. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
28. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
