Tree Planting Helper
Titchfield Village Trust is a charity organization committed to supporting the Titchfield community by developing initiatives to promote the natural space and environment of the village for its residents and visitors.
Our next project is to complete the planting of over 350 trees on Barry's Meadow. Over the last 2 years, the Trust has already planted 250 native species as well as 18 fruit trees in a community orchard of apples, pears, plums, and cherries. We have 2 more fruit trees arriving and 100 mixed woodland trees coming in February.
The Trust welcomes volunteers to help unload and scatter compost at Barry's Meadow on Friday 31st at 1:00 pm. We have a Tuktuk to move the bags from the bottom of the meadow to the top, but we need help unloading and scattering them in preparation for the final planting of 100 trees on the following day.
Volunteers should be physically able to move heavy bags of compost. There is no minimum time commitment, so even if you can only spare half an hour, any help would be appreciated.
