The Medical Centre Zulu Road is looking for a receptionist/administrator to join our busy GP practice in Nottingham. This is a part-time position.
Main duties of the job
* Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including clerical support to clinical staff and team members.
* Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive, friendly image to patients and visitors, in person or via telephone.
* Receive, assist, and direct patients to appropriate services or healthcare professionals courteously and efficiently.
* Facilitate effective communication between patients, the primary healthcare team, secondary care, and other healthcare agencies.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good level of education (essential).
* NVQ 2 in customer services or equivalent (desirable).
Experience
* Ability to operate a busy telephone system (essential).
* Experience working in a patient/customer service environment (essential).
* General clerical and computer skills, including excellent keyboard skills (essential).
* Knowledge of general practice and NHS services (desirable).
