We’re working with a fantastic Sefton primary school that is looking for a caring, skilled and resilient SEN Teacher to support pupils with complex needs, ASC or SEMH in a dedicated base or small group setting. About the role: Teaching a small group of children with EHCPs (Reception to Year 4) Supported by experienced teaching assistants and SENCO Clear routines, therapeutic strategies and a strong behaviour policy in place Tailored planning using a semi-formal or pre-formal curriculum model What we’re looking for: QTS (UK-recognised teaching qualification) SEN teaching experience OR a strong interest in SEND and inclusion Confidence supporting children with autism, speech & language needs or emotional regulation Someone patient, reflective and creative in their approach What the school offers: A positive, inclusive ethos across the whole school CPD in areas like Makaton, sensory processing, Zones of Regulation and trauma-informed practice Opportunity to develop within SEN specialism (SENDCo or outreach roles) Warm, supportive leadership and low staff turnover All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
