Care and Support Worker
As a Care and Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals or groups, ensuring their well-being and development based on their needs assessment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Recognising individuals' abilities and talents, and supporting their social, spiritual, recreational, educational, and entertainment needs.
* Contributing to safeguarding vulnerable adults and reporting any potential abuse to the appropriate authorities.
* Providing personal care that promotes dignity and independence, including assistance with hygiene and appearance.
* Addressing physical care needs promptly and appropriately.
* Communicating effectively with staff, clients, families, and carers.
* Ensuring a safe, comfortable, warm, and clean environment for individuals.
Requirements:
* Experience supporting vulnerable people and working within social care values.
* Knowledge of Equality & Diversity, Dignity & Respect, and Human Rights principles.
* Clear verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to use creative solutions and assistive technologies to promote independence.
* Willingness and ability to travel for community-based work.
* Ability to relate well to different individuals and engage effectively.
* Fluency in spoken English to communicate and advise accurately.
* Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months; DBS update service membership is a plus.
