MRI LeadRadiographer

Full Time- 37.5 hours
Thesuccessful candidate will be a qualified Radiographer andregistered with the HCPC. You will have experience in managing ateam of Radiographers or being an existing Lead MRI Radiographerwithin the NHS or Private Healthcare Service in the UK. You will beable to demonstrate your ability to take accountability andownership of developing a department and managing a team. Thesuccessful applicant will lead on clinical aspects, training andcompetencies, QA, MRI safety investigations and ensure that the MRIteam are kept up to date with current practise andprotocols.

As the Lead, you will set the bar of what anexemplary patient experience looks like by being present in aclinical capacity, whilst also completing operational duties toensure that the department excels alongside the other modalitieswithin the diagnosticService.
Alongside yourclinical accountabilities, you will be expected to undertakeadditional responsibilities to support the Imaging ServicesManager. This will include completing audits, financial review andbudget setting and staff resourcing. Your flexible and enthusiasticapproach, alongside your priority management, will be vital to yoursuccess. Being RPS trained is desired but not essential. Being ableto adhere to the guidelines set by the CQC, IR(ME)R and otherregulatory bodies will be crucial to ensure a safe patientenvironment.
You will beaccountable for the service within the MRI Department, havingexperience within a similar environment would be beneficial, butnot essential.

We are looking forsomeone whohas:
* HCPCRegistration
* a DCR or BSc (Hons)radiography
* Evidence of a minimum of 2 yearsMRI experience.
* Evidence of 2 years’ experienceof managing a team of radiographers or as aLead
* A flexible and dynamicapproach
* Experience in supervising andassisting specialist and juniorradiographers.
* experience of Responsibility fordepartment MRI safety in line with localrules
* Leading departmental audits and QualityAssurance programmes.
* Competency in IVcannulation is essential
* Provide input to thereview, update and implementation of departmental policy andprocedural changes.
* Experience in ensuring allrecords are maintained in line with statutory and organisationalrequirements.
Mainduties and responsibilities:
* Teachand lead the MRI service.
* Prioritise workloadaccording to clinical urgency/need when working single handed andrunning anarea
* Delivera high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a variedcaseload.
* Be highly proficient in the use ofall equipment within scope of practice.
* Workwith leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipmentand facilities
* Supervise and develop juniorcolleagues
* Responsible for MRI safety in linewith local rules
* To work within IRMER and ownscope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set outby the HCPC.
* Participate in departmental auditsand Quality Assurance programme.
* Providesupport to the Clinical LeadRadiographers.
* Ensure equipment is safe and fitfor purpose and, can report faults in line with Ramsay Healthpolicy.
* Competency in IV cannulation isessential
* Provide input to the review, updateand implementation of departmental policy and proceduralchanges.
* Comply with all Ramsay Health policiesand procedures.
* Ensure all records aremaintained in line with statutory and organisationalrequirements.
* Participate in on call rota (mustbe able to attend site within one hour of callactivation)
