A Typical Day in the Job: User Support & Troubleshooting - Providing technical assistance to staff and students for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and on-site visits. Account & Security Management - Performing password resets, account setups, and supporting multi-factor authentication while ensuring IT security policies are followed. Hardware & Software Maintenance - Installing, configuring, and upgrading computer components, peripherals, and software applications, including operating systems and productivity tools. Network Device Support - Assisting with the setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of networked devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, printers, and interactive whiteboards. Documentation & Escalation - Logging issues and resolutions in ticketing systems, maintaining accurate records, and escalating complex problems to senior engineers or vendors when necessary. You'll receive full support from experienced technicians while working toward your qualification through Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Skills, Qualities, and Knowledge: A genuine passion for technology - you might enjoy building PCs, tinkering with hardware, or solving tech problems. Strong communication and customer service skills. Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn new systems and technologies. A logical thinker with a problem-solving mindset. A Grade 5/C in GCSE English and a Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths is required for this role. Salary, Hours & Benefits: £16,000 per annum.
