With 71 employees operating from a 30,000 ft² manufacturing facility in Hendy Industrial Estate, Swansea, we are committed to becoming the number one provider in our market. ________________________________________ Reporting To Projects & Business Development Director, or other designated senior manager. ________________________________________ About You – Knowledge & Experience We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with: • A degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a scientific discipline (preferred). • Alternatively, candidates with relevant practical experience and strong science-based qualifications will be considered. • Experience working in a laboratory, pilot plant, process manufacturing, or engineering environment would be advantageous. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to gather, interpret, analyse, and present technical data. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organisational and planning abilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and overseas to lead customer trials. • A valid driving licence is essential. ________________________________________ Your Role & Responsibilities As a Test Engineer, you will: • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of customer product trials. • Take ownership of trial programmes from initial planning through to completion, reporting, and recommendation. • Prepare, commission, and operate pilot plant equipment for membrane and process testing applications. • Lead pilot trials at both Axium Process facilities and customer sites throughout the UK and overseas. • Gather, validate, and analyse test data to ensure accuracy and reliability. • Interpret trial results and prepare detailed technical reports, conclusions, and recommendations. • Present trial findings and technical recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders. • Liaise directly with customers before, during, and after trials to ensure objectives are achieved and expectations are met. • Maintain and calibrate laboratory, pilot plant, and testing equipment. • Identify, investigate, and resolve equipment or process issues to ensure the integrity and accuracy of test results. • Lead the development, review, and continuous improvement of testing procedures, trial documentation, and departmental standards. • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within testing activities, pilot plant operations, and trial methodologies. • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping whilst conducting trials both on-site and at customer locations. ________________________________________ What We Offer • Permanent, full-time position • 37.5 hours per week • Monday – Thursday: 08:15 – 16:45 • Friday: 08:15 – 15:30 • 5 weeks holiday per annum plus bank holidays • Company pension scheme • Opportunities for training and professional development • A varied, challenging, and rewarding role within a growing engineering business • Opportunities to work with customers across a range of industries throughout the UK and overseas
