We are seeking a Senior Level Designer to translate our game design vision into engaging levels. You will be responsible for creating the spaces and rules that define our player experiences and fun.

This role acts as a central point of information, working closely with Art, Design, Tech, and Production teams to transform diverse requirements into tangible and engaging game levels. Reporting to the Design Director, you will be instrumental in shaping our games.

The rundown:

* Permanent position
* Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
* Flexible work options: In-office, hybrid, or remote
* Salary is competitive and dependent on experience

Key responsibilities:

* Design and create compelling levels aligned with the game vision, ensuring excellent player experiences.
* Collaborate on and contribute to the development of level design workflows, maintaining clear communication and dependency mapping with Art, Design, Production, and Tech teams.
* Work closely with the wider team to design, create, and implement gameplay locations, mission scenarios, and level mechanics, iterating to achieve the highest quality.
* Ensure proper development, testing, presentation, documentation, and communication of your work across the development team and studio.
* Provide constructive feedback to other teams regarding their work's impact on the final level design experience or tools required to meet level design goals.
* Contribute to refining the design implementation pipeline to improve game quality, player engagement, comfort, and development efficiency.
* Work directly within Unreal Engine, creating levels and gameplay moments.
* Mentor and coach other level designers, offering constructive feedback.

The skills you’ll need:

* Proficient technical skills in Unreal Engine for level design, implementation, and iteration.
* Broad understanding of Game Development, Agile methodologies, and Design principles.
* A passion for VR and games across various platforms, with a solid grasp of level design principles across different gameplay genres.
* Awareness of the interdisciplinary nature of level design and the necessity for extensive cross-team communication with design, art, and code teams to deliver complete levels.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation skills, and the ability to articulate abstract concepts clearly.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The nice to haves:

* A keen VR enthusiast, knowledgeable on the trends and hottest games in this sector of the industry and in particular the games design and playable content perspective.
