Job Summary
Provide efficient and effective nursing care to patients in their own homes, working with the District Nursing Team and stakeholders. In the absence of the District Nurse, manage and supervise the nursing team, including Junior Staff.
Community Staff Nurse – 30 hours per week at Woodside Health Centre.
Must have a clean UK driving licence and use of a car for work purposes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver nursing care to patients in their homes.
* Manage and supervise the nursing team when the District Nurse is absent.
* Supervise Junior Staff and ensure service standards.
Qualifications & Education
* Registered General Nurse (RN) or NMC Register Part 1 – Adult.
* Mentorship for Practice course (or equivalent).
Knowledge & Understanding
* Awareness of current issues and developments in community care.
* Adherence to the NMC Code of Conduct.
* Knowledge of reflective practice principles and benefits.
Experience
* Demonstrated experience in community nursing.
* Experience in managing own workload and supervising staff.
Skills & Abilities
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Teamworking ability.
* Independent initiative and accurate record keeping.
* Awareness of audit, research and complaints processes.
* IT literacy (Word processing and e‑mail).
Other Factors
* Valid full UK driving licence.
* Access to a car for work purposes.
* Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and bank holidays.

Salary
£36,943 to £44,900 per annum (pro rata), inclusive of HCAS.
