What you'll be doing
The role involves providing support to the Senior Project Manager and working independently in some areas to ensure effective delivery of activities within the programme. The Project Manager will apply a project management approach to design principles and system design to ensure activities are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include managing specific contracts, detailed control schedules, leading diverse project teams, setting up work plans, managing budgets, developing risk logs, and establishing quality and change control processes.
Who you are
You hold a Professional Qualification in Project Management such as APM PPQ or another recognized qualification. You are an experienced Project Manager with contract and delivery experience, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, strong organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The Opportunity
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle, adhering to safety, quality, time, and cost parameters. The PM reports to a Senior Project Manager and oversees activities related to full lifecycle delivery of a contract or work package. Key skills include leadership, knowledge of CDM Regulations, numeracy, analytical reasoning, and experience with estimating, scheduling, risk management, and Earned Value Management tools. A degree in engineering, construction, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
Qualifications and experience required include project management in engineering design, contract management, EPCM projects, construction activities, procurement, cost and risk control, commercial claims, stakeholder engagement, and familiarity with NEC and FIDIC arrangements.
Additional Information
This role is based at Aztec West, Bristol, Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, with a hybrid working arrangement requiring a minimum of 3 days in the office/onsite. The closing date for applications is 5th September 2025.
