An exciting opportunity has arisen at First Steps North West for a dedicated and driven registered manager to lead our residential family centre which accommodates up to five families at any one time. The service is owned by two qualified and experienced social workers who now seek a dynamic, enthusiastic and ambitious individual to share our vision of promoting positive outcomes for children and their families.

The role

We are looking for a compassionate, and inspiring registered manager to lead our dedicated team. This is more than a managerial role it's about creating a place where families feel valued and supported while we work alongside them to assess and strengthen their relationships.

You will need:

* A recognised management qualification (Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent).
* Experience in a management role within a residential/family assessment or safeguarding setting.
* Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding legislation, and regulatory frameworks.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to bring out the best in your team and create a positive inclusive culture.
* A deep understanding of the challenges families can face and the compassion to support them through difficult times.
* Confidence in working with external professionals and representing the centres values.

As the Registered Manager, you will:

* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre in line with Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
* Lead and develop a team of skilled practitioners to deliver high-quality family assessments.
* Ensure safeguarding practices are embedded across all aspects of the service.
* Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting for court and local authority purposes.
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, including social workers, legal professionals, and external agencies.
* Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively to ensure the sustainability and growth of the service.
* Work creatively and flexibly to help families achieve the best possible outcomes.
* Ensure that every family's journey with us is positive, respectful and centred on their needs.

All policies, procedures, recording forms, training plans are in place.

The post is subject to enhanced DBS checks.

Salary is up to £50,0000 per annum dependent on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £50,000.00 per year
