Role: Leasehold Officer REF (phone number removed)
Contract Length: Until End of March 2026
Location: Hybrid/Brentwood – 2/3 days in the office
Rate: £30 per hour PAYE - 37hoursper week
We are recruiting for a Leasehold Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LEASEHOLD OFFICER
Responsibility for the administration of leaseholder service charges, major works, shared ownership properties, Right to buy applications and other leasehold services income. To take ownership for the performance of leasehold property management, ensuring the correct apportioning and accounting of expenditure. To ensure an outstanding customer service and service delivery. To prepare the annual estimated and actual service charge accounts.
The post covers a wide range of duties assisting with the day to day management of our Leasehold properties, leasehold management, including the collection of service charge arrears.
To issue Section 20 notices in accordance with legislation.
To fulfil this role within the framework of service objectives, the Council’s corporate objectives and policies and any legal requirements.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE LEASEHOLD OFFICER
* To be educated to GCSE Maths and English A-C or equivalent
* Competent in the use of I.T packages, including word, excel and outlook
* Ability to work within a team.
* Competent data entry skills
* Working knowledge of how to read and manage Lease’s
* Demonstrable experience of working in Leasehold Services
* Demonstrable evidence of working in a customer service/focussed environment.
