Our client is part of a top 10 firm, specializing in technical support for audit and assurance teams across various business streams. The technical team addresses complex technical issues, develops policies, and ensures high-quality output.
Role
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Manager for the technical team supporting the audit stream, with a focus on the Insurance sector. The role involves managing all elements of insurance audits, including revenue, impairment, and confirmations.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience auditing insurance entities, managing audit projects, and possess strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and reporting.
The position is primarily based in London, with potential flexibility to work from Manchester or Birmingham. Some travel to other offices may be required.
The responsibilities include:
* Enhancing and creating audit methodology aligned with industry developments
* Responding to audit methodology queries from staff
* Sharing industry updates with partners and directors
* Ensuring audit methodology complies with best practices and regulatory expectations
* Updating guidance materials and delivering training
* Supporting group learning sessions and conducting internal file reviews
Requirements
* ACA or equivalent professional qualification
* Expertise in UK auditing standards
* Current practical experience in insurance audits
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative
