We're looking for a dynamic leader to take the reins in developing and embedding a consistent approach to Clinical Associate Practitioner recruitment, training, and supervision across Opcare. In this pivotal role, you'll be the named supervisor for Associate Practitioners, ensuring excellence through compliance with BAPO guidelines and our own high standards. You'll drive the creation and rollout of a structured training framework, lead recruitment, deliver impactful training, and provide hands-on, remote, and indirect supervision that makes a real difference.
The role is home based, but national travel will be necessary based on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Act as the named supervisor for all Associate Practitioners in line with BAPO guidelines and internal governance requirements.
· Standardise induction, competencies, and progression for Associate Practitioners across all sites.
· Implement a national Associate Practitioner training and development framework.
· Collect and analyse feedback, outcomes, and performance data to refine the framework.
· Lead the recruitment process for Associate Practitioners in partnership with HR and operations.
Skills and Experience:
· Demonstrated experience in training, supervising, or mentoring clinical staff.
· Strong understanding of BAPO guidelines for Associate Practitioner supervision.
· Experience working across multiple services or with national programmes.
· Excellent communicator with the ability to engage and influence colleagues.
· Organised, methodical, and attentive to detail.
· Collaborative and supportive leadership style.
· Resilient, adaptable, and proactive in managing change.
· Passionate about workforce development and improving patient care through strong support staff.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
And in addition, must have:
· Full HCPC Registration
· A valid UK Driving Licence
· The ability to meet the requirements of an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check
