Overview
The governors of this large, vibrant Primary School are seeking to appoint caring and committed Learning Support Assistants. You will need to be able to work effectively as part of a team and be willing to support every child do be the best they can be.
Salary: Range 1 Point 6 – 10 FTE £24,836 - £25,823, Actual Pro Rata Salary Range: £18,501 - £19,236
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 32.5 hours Hours per week Term Time Only 39 weeks per year

About the role
To:
1. Plan and deliver a range of intervention strategies keeping relevant records.
2. Prepare materials for use with pupils
3. Liaise with the class teacher with regard to planning and pupil progress
4. Undertake pupil observations and feedback to the class teacher
5. Work with children in small groups or individually in a range of settings
6. Work as part of a team
7. Manage behaviour effectively in line with the school policy
8. Have a working knowledge and understanding of the curriculum
9. Engage with relevant CPD
10. Maintain confidentiality
11. Supervise the playground effectively
12. Relate to pupils in a positive way
13. Support teachers in administration tasks were appropriate

About you
The successful candidate will need to have excellent people skills and a warm and caring personality. The ability to communicate effectively with pupils and other staff will also be important.
Good levels of English and Mathematics are essential for the role and we require a Grade 4 or higher GCSE or the equivalent (e.g. Grade C or higher O-Level, CSE Grade 1) in these subjects.You will preferably have had experience in an educational setting, however opportunities for training are available so this is not essential
Training in Read Write Inc would be an advantage as well as knowledge of working with children with speech and language disorders. This role may range from Nursery to Year 6.
This post will include lunch time supervision.
