A Design Engineer opportunity with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in the West Midlands. With continued demand across multiple projects and ongoing investment in engineering capability, the business is seeking a Design Engineer to support project delivery through the creation of accurate technical drawings and documentation. Design Engineer responsibilities include -
Producing detailed 2D CAD drawings to support manufacturing and project delivery requirements.
Creating technical drawing packages and documentation for internal production and project teams.
Generating and maintaining bills of materials and component data within the ERP system.
Reviewing technical information and project specifications to ensure designs meet operational requirements.
Working closely with production, project and technical teams to resolve design queries.
Managing drawing revisions and documentation updates across active projects.
Design Engineer desirable skills and experience -
Experience in a Design Engineer, CAD Engineer or Draughtsperson role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong capability producing manufacturing or technical drawings.
Experience working with BOMs, ERP systems and drawing control processes.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, production, and project teams.
