About the Role We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our team and support the delivery of the early years entitlements in Trafford. There have recently been large scale government reforms and investment in childcare support working families, the roll out of these reforms completed in September 2025. The role of the Early Years Officer is to support the administration of the service to ensure that families can access high quality childcare provision, enabling children to be ready for starting school. The role includes the delivery of early education funding and a learning and development membership scheme for childcare providers. You will work alongside other Early Years Officers to enable us to continue to build on our success, bringing new experience and ideas to the team. About you You will need good communication skills to be able to provide information/advice to childcare providers and families. You must be able to work to tight and sometimes conflicting deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail. You will also need excellent IT skills to use our online systems as well as experience of using spreadsheets and creating/updating presentations. As you will be working as part of a team, you will also need to be a good team player. You will need to be committed to continual learning and improve the way we do things to ensure effective outcomes. You will work as a part of a term to deliver a service, whilst valuing and respecting others contributions. You will enjoy taking personal responsibility to resolve issues and change what we do to make a difference.
