Job Overview
Our client is a well-respected and long-established distributor of construction supplies, building materials and timber products. The branch in the Hyde area requires a new Assistant Branch Manager. The site is busy and needs an all‑rounder with strong stock management skills, buying experience and a solid understanding of how a well‑run branch operates.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Branch Manager with most aspects of running a successful branch, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.
* Manage stock, including purchasing, inventory control and stock management.
* Drive sales and maintain market share so the branch remains competitive.
* Support and coach the team, guiding them where necessary.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Proven experience in sales and operations within the construction supply sector.
* Some management or supervisory experience.
* Current employment in the construction supply sector, preferably with timber knowledge.
* Strong sales drive combined with operational skills.
* People‑oriented leadership style; someone others want to work with and be led by.
