Key Responsibilities:
Assist students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a group or classroom setting, providing support with lessons, activities, and tasks.
Support students in building academic skills and personal development, adapting teaching methods and materials to suit individual needs.
Promote an inclusive learning environment where every student is encouraged to engage with the curriculum, participate in activities, and develop confidence.
Help manage classroom behaviour, supporting students to follow instructions, build social skills, and improve concentration.
Work closely with teachers and other staff members to plan and deliver tailored learning programs, track progress, and adjust support strategies as needed.
Provide emotional and social support to students, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and confident in their learning environment.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable, but not essential.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and staff.
A caring, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
Ability to adapt to different learning styles, with an understanding of the various SEN needs.
Experience in supporting behaviour management in the classroom would be beneficial
