Once you've submitted your application, approved candidates will receive an email granting you access to the challenge footage! Once you receive that footage you will have 14 days to create your epic hook!
Winners will be contacted after careful reviewal of all entries. First place winner will be invited to come to Havok HQ and offered a full-time position with the company. The prize money is not dependent on the acceptance of this position, but entry into the competition forms part of our recruitment process.
Lead Editor Role
We're looking for a confident, talented individual who can take on the challenge of leading the post-production team for the Dara Tah channel. This is a high-intensity, exciting role with the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly expanding team.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, retention, and pacing
* A sense of narrative, you think in arcs, not sequences
* The ability to pull emotion and meaning from chaos
* Technical skill in Premiere Pro or similar, but story always comes first
* A drive to experiment, take risks, and push creative limits
Responsibilities
* Take full creative responsibility of the lead video edit for the Dara Tah channel (see examples here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYLvMKP02DU)
* Lead the post-production team, overseeing the work of 1-2 junior video editors working on short and long-form content, managing external graphics and thumbnail artists
* Ensure the timely delivery of video content for all Dara Tah social media channels (Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat and Tiktok)
