Team Leader – Supported Living
Location: Slough, SL1 2PU
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, pro rata)
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our supported living services in Slough. You will lead a dedicated team supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism, and challenging behaviours.
Key Requirements:
* Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification
* Valid driver's licence
* Previous leadership experience within care settings
* Assertive, proactive, and adaptable approach
* Flexible, positive, and caring attitude
* Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays when required
* Ability to participate in the on-call rota (1 week in every 4)
Purpose of the Role:
As a Team Leader, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to service users, helping them live as independently as possible while participating in community-based activities. You will also lead, guide, and support your team to ensure consistent, safe, and compassionate care.
Main Duties:
* Lead and supervise a team of support workers, ensuring high standards of care
* Assist service users with personal care, daily living tasks, and skill development
* Support service users in attending appointments, social activities, and community participation
* Ensure accurate record-keeping, including support notes, care plans, and financial records
* Promote dignity, respect, and empowerment for all service users
* Respond appropriately to incidents and safeguarding concerns
* Participate in staff training, supervision, and appraisals
* Support continuous improvement and compliance with company policies and CQC standards
Training & Experience:
* Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health, or autism (essential)
* Knowledge or training in Health & Safety, Infection Control, Medication Administration, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, Moving & Handling, and Safeguarding Adults
* Leadership experience is essential
