Your Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to fostering. Your role will involve:
* Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
* Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and safeguarding decisions.
What You Need
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
* Previous experience in children and families social work.
* A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services.
* A full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This is a demanding yet rewarding position that includes quality assurance and training responsibilities for both prospective and current foster parents. You will need to be an excellent report writer and able to meet strict deadlines.
As part of our commitment to safeguarding, the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
