We have a fantastic opportunity in our Logistics department for a Team Leader working Night shift.
Purpose of the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible to maintain high standards and deliver the Logistics service to all internal and external customers. To receive, store and issue any raw materials, packing and finished goods in an orderly, accurate, safe and hygienic manner. To maintain and operate systems and procedures to meet the current departmental needs.
Key responsibilities:
1. To carry out your daily duties as per ISO work instructions – inclusive of temperature controls
2. Ensure all trailers are clean and are running at the correct temperature
3. To ensure forklift trucks and any other equipment are maintained in a safe working order, complying with legislation
4. Monitor hygiene and housekeeping, promote a clean as you go policy, and ensure all Warehouse areas meet the required standard
5. To action, hold/quarantine/release requests and control the rework procedure
6. To carry out racking inspections and document using the company racking inspection procedure, and investigate damage and report back to the warehouse Supervisor
7. To lead a team of operatives in FB and NLC to ensure workload is completed in a timely and accurate fashion
8. Take full responsibility for all material/finished goods movements assigned to your shift
9. Ensure incoming finished stock from auto palletizer’s are put away and stored to the correct standards
10. To unload, issue and return materials in a timely fashion, ensuring accurate information and correct stock rotation
11. Assist with manpower planning to ensure adequate manning levels and skills mix at all times
12. To ensure a timely and informative shift handover is held at the beginning/end of shift
13. Use the warehouse management system to perform daily duties
14. To complete all leader standard working (LSW) tasks in a timely manner
15. To complete all inventory checks in line with the inventory rota
16. Any other reasonable requests
17. Support and train colleagues where necessary
18. Adhere to the company’s H&S policies and procedures
19. The successful candidate should have experience within Warehousing with good knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems are key along with good written and verbal communication skills. Ideally candidates will have the ability to meet deadlines, be organised with the ability to delegate and prioritise.
