Overview
Working nights in SuperCare's first EBD/SEMH home means being the steady hand during the home's most vulnerable hours. The young people are at risk of going missing, may self-harm, or may want to talk about difficult experiences from their past. As a Senior Night Coach, you'll not only support them directly but also be a role model for less experienced colleagues. You'll bring calm, reassurance, and expertise when the night feels unsettled.
What You'll Do
You'll provide both direct care and guidance to the team:
* Support young people who are at risk of self-harm or going missing.
* Respond quickly and safely to safeguarding concerns.
* Listen with empathy when young people talk about past trauma.
* Model safe practice for junior colleagues during incidents.
* Keep records and ensure clear handovers to day staff.
* Hold a full UK driving licence to support emergencies or transport needs.
What We\'re Looking For
We\'re looking for night staff with both resilience and experience:
* Solid background supporting young people with self-harm or trauma.
* Training or willingness to train in ligature response, safeguarding, and missing protocols.
* Calm and professional when faced with unsettling disclosures.
* Able to reassure and guide less experienced staff.
* Physically fit, alert, and dependable.
* Must hold a full UK driving licence.
