Join us as the SGT Costing Strategy Manager, where your vision and skills will help shape a better tomorrow! In this dynamic role, you will generate visibility and define a strategic roadmap for target costs by collaborating with a cross-functional team. You will develop and maintain target costs for our products while driving initiatives to reduce costs in our offerings. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring our products remain competitive and aligned with market demands.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Be the focal point for target cost strategy and roadmap development for the SGT portfolio by analyzing cost structures and establishing financial models.
2. Collaborate annually with Portfolio Management, Sales, and Market Intelligence teams to develop market-based cost targets, ensuring the competitiveness of new unit and service products.
3. Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for achieving cost targets while managing a robust product cost reporting system using digital tools like Power BI and Alteryx.
4. Lead cross-functional cost-out initiatives with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance teams to challenge requirements and drive standardization and optimization.
5. Partner with Global Service Operations to understand service cost drivers and identify potential savings in the aftermarket portfolio.
What You Bring
6. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
7. At least 5 years of experience in Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations, where you gained valuable business knowledge.
8. Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to present effectively at all levels of the Siemens Energy organization, including senior management.
9. Strong project management skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with proven analytical skills to prioritize cost reduction activities in line with business strategies.
