* Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, or other enterprise-grade networking equipment.
* Comfortable performing pre-approved network changes (e.g., VLAN changes, ACL modifications, routing adjustments).
* Ability to troubleshoot Layer 2 (switching) and Layer 3 (routing) issues.
Firewall & Security – Fortigate Expertise
* Experience managing Fortigate firewalls (policy changes, VPN configurations, security hardening).
* Basic understanding of firewall rule management and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
Basic Automation Experience
* Exposure to Python, Ansible, or Terraform for automating network tasks (e.g., config backups, monitoring).
* Experience with API-based integrations for network automation is a plus.
Understanding of ARP (Address Resolution Protocol)
* Deep understanding of Layer 2 communication, how ARP works, and how to troubleshoot ARP-related issues.
* Ability to analyze ARP tables and detect MAC conflicts or anomalies.

* Provide detailed reports on vulnerabilities and solutions.
Routine Device Maintenance
* Perform updates and patches on routers, switches, and firewalls.
* Validate network performance post-maintenance.
Backup & Licensing Management
* Regularly back up network configurations and test restoration processes.
* Maintain an up-to-date inventory of network device licenses and compliance records.
Documentation & Reporting
* Provide monthly status reports on network activities and risks.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
Technical Background:
* 3-5 years of experience in network operations, network engineering, or NOC support.
* Strong familiarity with enterprise networking environments (preferably supporting large-scale or cloud-native companies).
* Experience working with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, or NetBox is a plus.
Soft Skills:
* Customer service mindset – This role involves user-facing network support.
* Strong documentation & reporting skills – Must keep detailed records of network changes, incidents, and troubleshooting steps.
* Ability to work cross-functionally – Will collaborate with Service Desk, Senior Engineers, and Security teams.
