Accounts Payable Clerk Location: Aintree Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours per week, flexible start and finish times) Benefits: 25 days annual leave bank holidays Option to buy or sell annual leave Healthcare cover Death in service Annual bonus scheme About the Role Adaptable Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established business based in Aintree as they look to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their friendly finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied purchase ledger role within a collaborative environment, where quality, accuracy and integrity are valued across everything you do. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the purchase ledger function, ensuring all supplier invoices, purchase orders and delivery notes are accurately processed and reconciled. Match and verify supplier statements, resolving any discrepancies promptly and maintaining strong relationships with external suppliers. Manage supplier account setup and updates within the accounting system, maintaining accurate records at all times. Prepare and process high-value supplier payments in line with company policies. Support month-end activities, including reconciliations and reporting. Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure accurate recording of goods and equipment held across multiple locations. Process company and personal expense claims, ensuring compliance with policy and accurate matching to card statements. About You Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role essential. Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Confident communicator, able to work effectively with colleagues across departments and with external suppliers. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience using Sage 200 is desirable but not essential. A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Team-oriented, adaptable and reliable with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Why Apply?
