Service Technician UK & Offshore
Location: Plymouth
Permanent, full-time | Monday Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm | £37,000 + benefits
Were looking for a hands-on, experienced Service Engineer to lead, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment, vehicles, and marine systems across the UK and overseas. This role involves regular nights away and travel to customer sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
* Servicing, repairing, installing, and overhauling mechanical, vehicle, and marine/ship systems
* Leading and training staff on safe, efficient practices
* Planning and organising projects with operations managers
* Completing surveys, reports, and customer sign-offs accurately
* Using workshop machinery, ultrasonic cleaning, wet blasting, and HP jet washing equipment
* Ensuring compliance with H&S, COSHH, and ISO standards
* Managing waste and by-product disposal in line with environmental legislation
Requirements:
* Strong mechanical engineering knowledge, ideally with marine/ship systems experience
* Engineering/fitting qualification
* Minimum 1 years experience working on vehicles and/or marine systems
* Awareness of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 standards
* Environmental/spill response training or willingness to undertake
* Willingness to travel UK-wide with nights away
This is a hands-on, varied role for engineers who enjoy responsibility, problem-solving, and working across multiple sites in a dynamic environment.
